smashbox was sold exclusively on amazon.com through the FBA channel. Customers could receive their smashbox in 2 days with free postage. After selling over 500 smashboxes I quickly found out that the margins were just too low for the concept to be worthwhile. It was fun branding the smashbox. I learned how to screen print, which is how I was able to get the logo and name on the cardboard boxes. Prior to ending this project, I was developing a concept known as scratch and smash. It involved an opportunity in every smashbox for the customer to win variable rewards, sometimes even free smashboxes.
