The Idea
This was my first time ever learning how to manufacture a product by private label. I knew I
wanted to come up with a physical product in the baby space and after much thought I decided
to proceed with swaddles. Not just any swaddles though, I wanted mine to be very soft,
sourced with organic materials and packaged sustainably. Private labeling products is a lot of
fun. It’s exciting to see a concept come to life and rewarding when customers say good things
about a product you developed.

Project Gallery
Once my initial order was completely sold out, I decided to move on to other
projects. The marketplace started becoming heavily saturated with other similar products that
were selling at much cheaper prices. I simply wouldn’t be able to compete, and it didn’t make
financial sense to invest in another order tying up resources and time and not knowing if I
would see a return on investment. Overall, several thousand swaddles were sold over multiple
online venues.
