In 2008 I decided to incorporate CHEMWISE. A unique arbitrage opportunity was presented to me and I took advantage of it. My family owns a small hazardous waste disposal organization and in my high school and college years I would work for the company. I noticed that many chemicals that were still in usable condition were being discarded as waste. Many of these items were expensive. I wondered if these items could be recycled and used in their intended purpose by other users. CHEMWISE focuses on diverting unwanted chemicals from landfills and traditional hazardous waste disposal to cleaner recycling streams that generate revenue by offering the material for sale online.
