The Idea
The Registered Maternity Health Protector Database is a centralized repository where anyone
that is interested in managing risk to pregnant workers can self-declare as a Registered
Maternity Health Protector (RMHP). Once a member has registered, they are permitted the
ability to utilize the RMHP credential. The only current requirement to registration is the party
interested in registering much have a degree.
Project Gallery
Eventually I would like to develop a certification program where members can
become Certified Maternity Health Protectors. These individuals will demonstrate competency
in managing risk to pregnant workers, women of childbearing age, and women that are
breastfeeding. Those that hold the certification will be more marketable in the health and
safety field in addition to having priority selecting risk assessments to conduct for Maternity
Protection. Maternity Protection plans to allow CMHP’s the opportunity to conduct declared
pregnancy risk assessments as part of Maternity Protection’s Pregnancy Risk Reduction
Program (PRRP) as independent contractors.
